Pre-LCI Xenon to LCI Xenon Conversion
I've searched, but I must be entering the wrong search terms...I'm looking for the threads that talk about Pre-LCI xenon to LCI xenon coversion. Who's the resident expert on lighting around here nowadays?
I have a chance to get a set of LCI headlight housing, just wondering what else I need to do the conversion from Pre-LCI. Can someone point me in the right direction? |

Thanks guys! Mike, dsc201knoc went from pre-lci halogens to pre-lci xenons. What I'm looking for is information that will help me convert from pre-lci xenon to lci xenon, e.g., can I use the same ballasts, bulbs, etc...

Let me know if you do this. I would love to see before and after pictures.

it's easier to change the headlumps and taillights together at once, otherwise you will have to deal with transistors and other "intresting" things. to make conversion you will have to buy 4 cables - "pre-lco to lci" and to change FRM to FRM3)
good luck) |

The ballast are different (Different shape) but the bulbs are the same.
If you code the car to accept the new LCI lights, you won't need the resistors etc to equalize the load on the led turn signal. The coding will tell the car that you are running the lci setup. |

I already have the MTEC V3 bulb.. All I need is a new Xenon Headlight for my car right? I have a 2007 E90 and it's really frustrating to find a straight answer.. Will the Xenon Headlight be compatible with my MTEC to make it LED? I saw some headlights that were also CCFL's... If I put the MTEC bulb in the CCFL headlights will it make it LED? Please help!!

Wondering if anyone has been able to do the swap with 100% functionality of the LCI Xenon features (cornering lights, 3 amber leds etc)

My thread goes through all of the wiring needs for this swap. You can even make a plug and play harness that makes everything reversible. coding is the second step and like Desi mentioned. You tell your car you have xenons now. It's all doable. Many have done it.
