Bumper damage after 2 days =(
One of the rebars from a parking block was sticking up and as I reversed, it caught the bottom of my bumper and made a slight tear.
It happened at work, so their liability insurance will take care of it. Anyone know of a good body repair shop in the San Jose Bay Area? Can I take it to BMW for repair? Since I'm not paying for it, I want the best possible job. |

Thanks very much, gsxrpaul.
I do not have PDC, but I don't think it works for anything that small. The rebar was sticking up only by a few inches, not sure though. |

i have learned to be incredibly paranoid about parking my 330. it sits quite a bit lower than my tsx did so when in doubt i stop pulling forward and will get out and look.
sorry to hear about the damage though, that really sucks. any chance of bending the plastic back into position? probably not real noticable since its underneath the bumper. just knowing its there would drive me insane |

Actually....I just found out when I was helping my sister looked for a car.
Acura RL = Honda Legend in Japan When I was in the Bahamas....all the Lexus cars/suvs were Toyota. It was like a culture shock...

Ouch, that hurts looking at the photo. glad that the business is paying for it but still, it is a hassle to have to go through that only after having the car for 2 days.

Thanks for the sympathies guys. Got an estimate of $1000 to fix it. The bumper is only $269, but the paint and labor makes up the rest of the bill. Sad to give it up for repair. =(
And yes, it is Titanium Silver. Guess in the pictures it looks a little white. |
