Hey there!

I got my e90 328i about 2 months ago, and there is some noise coming from the brakes. Probably dust, I've heard. (Excuse the ignorance).

I wanted to know if there are any cheap "kits" or bundles that one can buy to get new and nice brakes.

I checked ECS tuning and they have a service kit for around 500 bucks. Doesn't seem that bad. Later on I could add a brake caliper cover ^.^ (Just need new 17"+ wheels).

I'd really appreciate the help, since I am trying to learn as much as I can about my new e90 and taking care of it! (Have to get new brakes, disable SOS error with aftermarket stereo, and fix adaptive headlight error).

Suspension -
Bilstein B4

You'll need the surrounding hardware for about $200.00 or so, if you have 100k or more on the current suspension.

ECS does have the B4 in a kit, but they don't have a lifetime warranty like FCP.

Just take the part numbers from the kit at ECS or go to Bilstein's website and get them there. The B4 does come in a sport version, if you have the sport package. You should be able to get the Bilstein B4 kit for about $400.00.

I'd send the Godspeed coil over kit back, if it were me. It's really, really difficult to beat Bilstein.

Yep parts for the front & rear brakes might run about $500.00. Zimmerman is the OEM provider. Akebono pads are virtually dust free.

The Godspeed shocks and struts have been in the car for about a month and some days. It has been good... I was just thinking of upgrading the brakes (pads and rotos) in a few months. Maybe in the coming 2 months.

So what I get from this, one of those links is for the front and the other link is for the back? Correct?
Just making sure. Is there any way of getting cross drilled brake kits with Akebono pads? I think cross drilled will be nice for the winter, but I may be wrong, sorry haha.

But I'll keep those 2 links. The current suspension is new, so I doubt I need the surrounding hardware.

Yes, they are for the front & back.

Zimmerman does make a cross drilled rotor for the 328, and FCP does sell them. However, they don't sell them in a kit.

So, you'd need to write down the part numbers for the pads & brake sensors & then plug them into the search engine when you go to order them.

As far as better braking in the winter? I do t think cross drilled rotors would help you brake faster in the winter. A great set of winter tires would make for better braking in the winter like a Blizzak WS 80.

Cross drilled rotors will look cooler and will give you more of a linear feel when you do brake. I have had Zimmerman cross drilled rotors on my 335i for about 45,000 miles with no issues.

If you want a firmer pedal and or better pedal feel, then get brass caliper sleeves from ECS. You could also opt for SS brake lines. Stop Tech or Goodridge are the two best. I personally think Goodridge are better.

You could get both.

I'd love to spend like 1,000+, but I don't have that type of money.

That's why I was looking into the service kits at ECS tuning which are around 500, and mweisdorfer was nice enough to find me cheaper ones on fcpeuro.

I would like to get red calipers, but I suppose my best option is to paint the current calipers I have.

Tough to beat Rockauto. I got Stoptech high carbon rotors, Akebono Euro Cermaic pads, wear sensors and anti-rattle clips for both front and rear of my 335i for ~$450 shipped. Your 328 should be less expensive.
