I just brought my car to shop for spark plug and ignition coils, 97968, oe Delphi coils. 09 335 car has 47k miles on it. I asked shop to gap to .022, recipt says .22. Car is on a stage 1/1+ tune with cai and chargepipe. Trying to figure out reason for timing correction still wondering if gap on plugs is wrong or if something else is up. Any help would be awesome!

That's a lot of timing corrections across all 6 cylinders. The most likely culprit is bad octane.

Are you running a FMIC?
What index injectors and how many miles on them?

Try running a fresh tank of 93 from a different station or lowering the tune to a 91 oct or whatever is LESS than the fuel in your area and see how it looks.

No fmic but in vt rn and it’s wintertime and haven’t been pushing the car too much. Original injectors in car from 09 with 47k miles on them. I tried switching from a 93 octane to 91 while still using 93 and it was still showing correction

Are you on the 93 oct + FMIC tune? Do you have 93 in VT?

Which index are the injectors?

I’ve ran the normal 93 tune and the 93+ tune with 94 octane gas we have here and with 93 as well. I’ve also tried running the 91 octane tune while having 93 in my tank. Not sure which index injectors haven’t touched them since I got the car but I’m assuming there the original injectors.

And none of those had an improvement in timing corrections at all? Some corrections are normal, it's kind of accepted to have up to 3 deg but preferably not on adjacent cylinders and certainly not on all 6 everytime.

None really improved, some pulls will see no correction but as soon as I shift again seeing the higher numbers and none of those had any changes. Could wrong gaps on plugs cause this?

It's possible. I prefer OEM Bosch plugs for this power level, the gap is something like .30 or or something pretty large on those, but they just work well for stage 2 and below. I'd pull your plugs and see how they look and maybe try the Boschs

I have similar problem as you, going to a different station and fmic helped bring those corrections down a little. You said you changed the fuel but have you tried a different station or different area? Also I think your AFRs are a bit slow, got a longer log? I am new to N54 and might be wrong but this indicates an issue with injectors or O2 sensor. Ask the person who changed your spark plugs whether any plugs were wet with fuel. Also you should get fmic, in the winter your iat is rising by like 60f.
