2" Front Inlet "Bracket"

Just wanted to share something I mocked up for the stock location front upgraded 2” inlet. Amongst other things I’ve been doing to my E93 I decided to upgrade my inlets and hated the idea of the front inlet just sitting there as I read that it tends to lean into the Alt pulley and rub. The solution I’ve found by a lot is to zip tie the inlet to the fan shroud but I didn’t like that idea either so I figured since the stock inlet had a niftey bracket why not make one. After realizing how much work that was and don’t have the time I decided to cut off a section of the front inlet since I figured it’s trash now. This is the end result it’s a tight fit once I put the fan in and will update the post once I put the fan in again (forgot to take a picture) as I’m finishing other matainece items in that area. Overall pretty happy with the end result and it’s not near that annoying pulley.

Post Update:
Things did not go according to plan after finally starting the car up and everything Preston the bracket was rubbing up against the police, causing the smell of burnt plastic so I went ahead and cut some more. Still does the job of pushing it away from the pulleys, but definitely had to trim more than I anticipated.
Well update post after a couple hundred miles

EDIT: I would still almost recommend cutting out the bracket like the original post and running the inlet alongside it for when you clamp it down on the snout it gets it a locked in place feel, and does not want to move forward as much freely even without that bracket in imo
