My buddy Chris has a set in his E90. He put them in last winter, and has kept them in all summer.

Did he have any problem of salt gathering around the pedal base? While I love my bottom attached pedal for heal-toe, it sucks for salt stains since the mat can't go completely under it. The Mini's the same.

My biggest problem with these mats is the drivers side mat has tendency to move around and interfere with the 3 pedals on the floor. First time it happened I was driving pretty hard and that literally shook me up because I could'nt understand why my brake pedal had become so hard to engage. Weeks later same thing happened to the cluch pedal...i press the pedal and it would get stuck as i am on throttle so I was fighting for the clutch to let go. But other than that I am happy, but I suppose I could put some velcro to secure it (which i probably will do soon). |

Weathertech
I bought the Weathertech digital fit mats for my e90. Have not tried them over a winter yet. They fit alright but I am not sure I would pay the 130 again. Just bought them for the front. I find them too short and foresee problems with salt stains at the front of the mats just under the seat.

I have the higher priced mats for my 4 door 328i. The fit is perfect and over one winter and two summers, I have had no problem with pedal interference. The screw down holding system for front is great and the mats don't move around at all. Some salt did accumulate by clutch and accelerator, but it came off with a few sprays of vinegar/water solution in the spring. They were pricey, I think I paid $350 for the 4 mats and trunk liner, but I'm happy with them.
I bought beige mats to match interior, but shoe scuffs showed up after about a year of service. Grey might be better but could clash with interior colour scheme. Jonathan |

I have the WeatherTech mats for both my 335 and our winter car (a 2009 Civic.) They are an absolute bitch to remove, for cleaning or any other reason. Since we no longer winter drive the 335, I have stock carpets there, and the WT mats in the Civic.

Anyone here have the iphone / ipod Y cable (6FL?) working in their non-iDrive car? I believe it is supposed to give you an "ipod" entry in the menu, or at least that's what I've seen.
I got a cable today from China which claims it should do that, but no iPod in the menu and the steering wheel controls don't work. Audio works on Aux of course. I'd love to be able to try an OEM cable if someone has one. |

Royal oaks is good for me
not sure about this weekend. maybe the next one. I have much to learn from the more experienced e9x owners. anyone know how to remove the car's trim? I am thinking about doing the CF wrap on the interior trim. I love everything about the car except for the grey poplar wood... its fugly. |
