Summers Here!

Woke up early this moring to be blessed with fab sunshine! So took the dog for a longish walk (as long as a 16 year old dog can manage)! To be greeted on return with my CRB Appears I am a good girl and am allowed to teach clarinet to little angels all over Derbyshire!!

Decided to sort the garden out (thank god theres no grass ) as the weathers been given out nice for a bit also got the BBQ out, went round my mums to get a bottle of gas, wired a couple of plugs into my shed and put the old radio to some use!

Now sat outside eating my lunch, work at 2pm (hoping student doesn't turn up, doesn't normally!!!)

Outside, lunch, sun, BBQ set up, music! Anyone else enjoying the sun?

SUMMER IS HERE BOYS AND GIRLS LETS CELEBRATE!

i went out for a blast this morning in my Z4 3.0 roof down all the way.

yesterday evening Carrie (my wife of 29 years) and i decided it would be a good idea to get up early 06:30 and set off on open road (back roads) whihc took in the famous B660 and lots of other twisty roads. total run was 4 hours with a breakfast stop at Tickencote (near stamford on the A1) then just took it hard on the back roads with no map and using the sun for navigation...

it was fun with a capital F..... now my head is somewhat burnt from the beating rays of of the sun.

took some pics of the car with the camera phone and they come out $hite, so i have substituted them with some i took on another day

Summer fun! We've had 13 people round at ours to celebrate my wife's BIG birthday! BBQ haloumi and tomato balsamic dressing kebab starters then inside when the sun dipped behind the trees for mega pasta dishes that I cooked up Had the party last week but I was rather tied up with the band so didn't have time to relax. Ali is 50 on 25th, but by God she doesn't look it! As many people at NM2 will testify!

Fantastic evening and lots of champagne and wine...and JD! Love the good weather. Leg is feeling much better as well, so might even make NM3! Happy times!

Glad to hear all have been enjoying the weather

It's not been too bad today but now it is dull and trying to rain! Had a great bank hol though - got my door cards off my car, cleaned them hopefully will retrim them soon, got mirrors off and primed them after fiasco with breaking one lol it's been put back together DIY style, prepped front Garage Vary little spoiler thing, still got to paint (gloss black as mirrors and wheels) and fit. MX is going to be off road for a little while (1-2 weeks) as I get things done on it lucky I've got another car but more about that later ...

Fired up the BBQ, invited a couple of friends and my mum and dad over for BBQ lunch, did lime and chilli mackrel, spicy chicken fillets, vegetable skewers, BBQ ribs and potato wedges!

Me and my big mouth! Cooled right down now and becoming cloudy...........oh I so love our climate.

Nice that some of us managed to get out for a blast over the weekend.

Btw Nicola - the BBQ sounded nice, never thought of doing that with mackerel.

Wish I'd got out in my car rather than working on it, very close to finishing the outside bits then it's make my decision on the engine.

Thankyou, Helen My mum and dad tell me what to do with food though lol, they've ran a number of restaurants in their time!!

What a weekend

Actually yesterday I was in Leeds at a music workshop then went out after so hardly got to see the sun, apart from in the car roof down of course, still fun though Today has been awesome in the garden again lol! Tomorrow and Tuesday is meant to be much the same I think too.
