How many 330i owners on here?
Just wondering if there are many 330i owners on here, of all the 3series I see in the road I have only seen a handful of 330i's. There are plenty of 330d's but not many full fat petrols.

The 330i is a great car. 330d just as good!! Ballistic when tuned

Yeah, not that many about. I guess that's why Bimmer discontinued it in the e90 because it wasn't a popular engine. Unfortunately, the 330d was just too good.
But, as I understand, the 330i is the best sounding of all the engines (M3 excluded), and silky smooth so not a bad choice if these things are important to you!

e90 330i here.
Fingers crossed there's less to go wrong than other engines with turbo's etc. although that's at the expense of fuel consumption a bit I guess. Sounds fantastic once you hit higher revs, too quiet at lower revs IMO.

Fit a Performance Exhaust. You won't regret it.

Great cars. The best in the e90 range IMHO. Insanely cheap second hand and great everyday car and plenty of fun to thrash round the twistys. Future classics the e90 330i.
It has real flair in the engine dept. get the water pump changed every 80k , run it on v power and it's pretty much trouble free motoring. Love mine and no reason to sell it for another few years. |

On 330i running tesco fuels can bugger up the injectors on the n52s according to a few Indys I have been to. I'm always told to run on vpower. Maybe wrong, but that is the advice I get.
