Check out the thread above. I suggest you get a "set" of shocks and struts with those springs or else you will be running into the same problem, sooner or later.

Yes by about .6 of an inch but using them on a stock (sport and none sport) suspension is a bad idea.

If you change your springs to aftermarket THEN you really need to change out your shocks as well. The stock sport suspension shocks WILL NOT work well with the aftermarket parts .......... you'll blow out the stock shocks in no time.

Any aftermarket springs are going to create added stress to the OEM shocks in place. The more stress, the sooner they will need to be replaced.

In other words, the lower you go ....... the more likely you are to blow out the stockers. Remember, BMW suspension components are designed to work in conjunction with each other. You can't change one and not the other.

Lots of threads surfacing lately about OEM shocks wearing out within a few thousand miles of installing aftermarket springs. Save yourself some time/grief/frustration and change the springs/shocks at the same time.

not really true, the H&R sports are a lot softer than the RACE, so your struts/shocks will last longer. it is recommended to upgrade your struts/shocks but not necessary until they go out. I always say "why spend the money if their still good." Of course one might argue get it all done in one shot but for the money, not really.
