Am I missing something?

Yep. Doesn't make sense - both have the N55.

E91 will still be produced. 2012 pricing is effective Sept 1st like the others listed in this thread. Not sure about SOP and EOP dates.

There is no 2012 E91. 2011 production ends this month so I would think ED is not available anymore.

I am waiting for the F series. The DCT is wet clutch and does not get as much mileage as modern automatics. That is why it is available in limited quantities. The VW GTI uses a dry clutch DCT which has much lower losses, but such units have a limited maximum torque. The new 8 speed looks like a decent tranny, but I have heard complaints of flat spots regarding the N55/8 speed combo in the 5 series. A much lighter car ought to be able to fix that.

Just wanted to say you guys rock getting information out. I posted on the ED forum yesterday asking about 2012 changes for the E92 3 series, and today viola, question answered! I had asked because my dealer told me that my ED was going to be a 2012 and that there were no changes... yeah rt!

I did the math and with the current options I have selected I come in 700 less. That is why he said the price was the "same".

I am sure if it was more he would have told me. I will be seeing him tomorrow requesting the difference! In my case the MSRP goes up by $800 but I save 1K for the 230 style rims on the M sport package, 400 for the Ipod adapter and 100 off the bmw assist crap that they made me get with the HK radio. Thanks to you guys I will be saving $700!!!!

This is for the US-spec E92/E93. The 2012 sedan will be F30, so the car and options will be completely different. F30 will be unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show in mid-September.

Looks like a big price increase to me as well, particularly since the Value Package was apparently eliminated.

Glad I got mine this year

My thought: it's too damn sexy of a car and they don't want everyone ordering it instead of the new 3er sedan.

It's been like that for a whole. Only blue available with M Sport is Le Mans. I have seen both side-by-side, Montego is brighter and Le Mans is flatter. Both look fantastic either way.

That actually happened with the LCI changes for MY2011. They bundled ZSP and ZMP together for one price.

not initially, i remember there being LCI sport packs- the 328i coupe had the 189s that used to be on the 335i coupe both did exist for some time (i was contemplating ordering one)
