Non-lowering suspension options?
I'm looking to upgrade shocks and springs on an e91 328xi. I'm considering either Koni FSD's or Billstein HD's with stock springs. I have used Koni yellows with Eibachs on other cars and love them. Problem is that the Eibach's are too low for this car.
I don't want to lower it anymore than it already is because of clearance issues. The car rides pretty low because it has a factory Sport Package (and before anyone yells that there is no such thing as an e91xi with Sport Package) it is a pre-production, euro spec model that was imported by BMW-NA as a demo car. I bought it from a broker who got it directly from BMW. I can assure you that it does have a Sport Package and manual trans which is next to impossible to find in the US. Anyone have opinions on either setup or other suggestions for springs? I hate going with the OEM BMW springs because I have had them break on other cars. |

Why change springs if you don't want to lower it? Sounds like you have a unique car. why change it? Upgrade the dampers to Koni Sport or Bilstein, pull the alignment pins out of the strut top mounts to add negative camber and call it a day. Forget Koni FSD
