Every school in the northeast is closed except for mine..... THE HELL???

This storm is supposed to hit us east coasters hard

But seriously my school just does not wanna cancel classes... I'm getting heated

Anyone else in the same boat?

I'm not in your boat, I'm in the boat of homeowners or business owners, who are fearing serious damage, downed power lines, flooding etc to our property.

Skip your classes if its not safe to get there. I'll be going to work while my home gets pounded by the storm, and I won't be complaining.

I didn't wanna make this thread to offend anyone or anything man.. i was just messing around. Either way, good luck to everyone getting hit by this storm.

MA and RI and many other states i believe have already declared a state of emergency, so i'm most likely gonna take a day off.

I'm at Penn State, every branch campus with the exception of 3 are closed, almost every major school within 100 miles is closed. They haven't canceled class here in over 10 years. Here is an email we got earlier this evening.

As a hurricane vet, I suggest a few cans of gas. Better have and not need than need and not have. Not like it'll waste. Just use it to fill up if its not needed.

crazy year for weather: southern california had its hottest summer ever. even today, it's need-a-jacket cold early morning and then by the afternoon it's warm enough to swim. there was a 7.7 in canada and a pair of 4's in socal this past week. plus isaac, the 8 in mexico, and the midwest tornadoes earlier this year.

been following the news on sandy, supposed to be the largest storm (in area) in u.s. history. hurricane meets snow. 15% of the u.s. population is affected.

They're saying we might get snow because of a cold front from canada or something.

Like the previous guys said.. The weather is effed up. Stuffs happening where it usually wouldn't. I don't believe in this end of the world shit at all...but this stuff is weird
