Failed Angel Eye Inverter/Ballast?
I fitted some LED angel eyes around 1 year ago and today I had a bulb error flash up.
The angel eye works for a couple of minutes then the error pops up and the rings dim and flicker gently. If I lock and unlock the car it works fine. I'm guessing if light is emitted; the LED is fine and the inverter is shot? If so; can these be replaced and are there any specific inverters I should buy? |

Not the same issue, but one of my led angel eyes overheated in traffic back in the summer. The bulb warning came on, and bulb stopped working / flickering every so often.
I thought the bulb was shot, but turns out the FRM ( If I remember) module has a short protection system. I cleared the error codes with DIS ( sure any other code reader would work), reseated the bulb and it started working again. Anyway, to cut a long story short! It might be worth reading codes if you can! |

Thanks Buddy.
I read the codes last night and all I had was "Failed left driving light" or something to that effect. Since this happening last week; I haven't seen any evidence of a recurrence which leads me to think it's a wiring issue. |
