Hold up guys... still in the process of writing/linking/etc,. everything. The new software isn't downloadable yet. If you hit the link, you will get the old software. Give me a few hours before downloading anything. I'll update this thread when it's all ready. LOTS of new stuff

Ok... software is available for download. As are new maps and firmware. I am not done with documentation yet. Still need to write up a document on custom tuning with the new CANbus logging. I should have this ready to go by Monday or Tuesday. But if you guys want to update firmware and maps right now, go ahead. You will benefit from the engine temp based warm-up and overtemp protection at the very least.

They are CANbus maps intended for Rev.2 CANbus hardware. So we expect the user to clear any tuner manipulation code with the code reading/clearing feature before removal and dealership visit.

I understand that, but the last maps you released last month, you said that they were only for non-doomsday and a few days ago you said you will release the doomsday soon after you come back from new jersey, I was wondering if these were it? I have the canbus rev2 but I did not download the latest stuff cause they were non-doomsday only, I'm talking about the maps that reach boost faster like you said... I can't wait for the doomsday version of those

Hi Shiv,
could you tell me if the default UT setting of 70% for stage 1 is correct for the maps? The 5-29 maps were using 75% .

Thank you!

Nice that you have implemented the temp features... will definitly give it a try tommorow.

Are these features v2 specific?

The whole point of upgrading to the Canbus Rev.II is so you can clear any relevant codes present if triggered by running the non-doomsday style of maps. So in essence, running a Canbus setup negates the need of providing Doomsday maps. Doomsday maps are only for the guys running Rev.I or Rev.II without Canbus who can't readily clear these codes..........or get the Bavarian Technic Tool.

I get that, but if that's the case why were the maps released last Month specifically say non-doomsday???

I think Shiv was making it apparent and as a warning for Non-Canbus users that using these "non-Doomsday" maps would trigger a manipulation code that would be readily seen by your BMW Service dealer.

If you don't have canbus Procede and want to run the non-doomsday maps, the other alternative is get the BT tool.

Shiv, is there any way possible to make the oil temp protection an option. My ride to work is short and I usually dont mind getting on it at around 140-150 degrees. I would rather have control of it myself.

Wastegate Duty Cycle Limit
This parameters defines the maximum allowed duty cycle when running at maximum load. This can protect your turbos agains over-spooling in likelihood of a boost leak or running too high of a User Torque value in high altitude (or high temperature) conditions. For reference, a stock car, at sea level operates at 35-40%. A tuned car running at 14psi can routinely operate at 45-55%. It is our suggestion to avoid running over 60% if turbo longevity is a concern. As such, we suggest setting this value to 70% to prevent false triggering. When triggered, the PROcede will induce a valet mode that can be reset only by cycling the ignition OFF and ON. 30-100%
Will somebody please explain this. It sounds like he's saying to set it at 70% even though it shouldn't be any higher than 60%.

I think what it means is... if it is set at 70%, then your car will push itself up to 70% and if/when it ever goes above 70% (boosting higher than 14psi), it will go into valet mode.

I guess the extra 10% from the recommended 60% is just some head space for those boost spikes and stuff that occur when shifting or letting off the throttle. You woudln't want it to go into valet everytime u shift or drive right?

are we to assume that vishnu is no longer supporting the non-canbus rev1 V3 units anymore? seems like all the new maps/firmware are geared towards the canbus rev2 V3 units.
