Problems with my car so far, that I need help with.
So about 5 days ago, my "Service Engine Soon" light came on, while I was on I66, on the way to college. I feel no loss of power. Everything sounds okay, everything feels okay.
I took my car to Scott a.k.a. Xzibit a. He printed out 3 error codes, and then cleared the codes. This was 4 days ago. Here are the codes we got: - P0128 - P250F - P0475. So far, the car still feels fine, and the light has not come back on. It never flashed...or else I would not drive it. So if anyone has had similar problems, please let me know about the experience, and what these error codes are, and how I can fix them. ***Yes, I always click the gas filler cap tightly, and I make sure twice. It's tight, and always has been. Please don't ask...I am not an idiot.*** ALSO, I need help finding LCD screen for Head unit. My baby Godsister was kicking and just being a kid in my front seat, and she accidently hit the Head Unit. Now, I can not see what the Right side reads, and when I use Bluetooth, I can not see who is calling. There are cracks in it. It's only the screen though. The outside is fine, and the liquid is not leaking out. Internal bleeding is the best way I can put it. So I tried searching online and everything, and I can not locate the screen. I'd rather try fixing it myself, depending on the difficulty. I mean, it shouldn't be too hard, right? And if for some reason, I can't fix it, How much would the part and labor cost? Someone please give me your thoughts, and ideas, and point me in the right direction...lol. THANK YOU, ALL! |

What should I do about the thermostat? The Exhaust pressure control valve? Could that be triggered from me unplugging the Exhaust valve wire in the trunk? As for the Engine oil level, I check my dipstick regularly, many times a day, and the level fluctuates, GREATLY. I never get the same oil level twice. It's freaking annoying... I put in a quart just to make sure, yesterday. But my oil level has always been either in the middle, or above minimum. It has never gotten below Min. Although, sometimes I get the +1 Quart, but it goes away, and this happens, frequently, Even after I just put a quart in.. I don't have any oil leaks. I am assuming, my Oil sensor is bad...Why can't they just have a regular dipstick? Faccckkkk.

If you still have a warranty look into getting the dealer to fix it. If not, find an Indy shop that can do it for a reasonable price. At least it will give you peace of mind. Last edited by bigdaddycane; 10-26-2012 at 02:53 PM.. |

If you clear the codes and they don't return, is there still an issue?
I've always thought that if you clear and they reappear, then you definitely need to address. For instance, if you improperly install a part/tune, you'll throw codes. So you fix the install, clear the codes, and they never reappear.. so you're in the clear! Have they returned after clearing? |
