Using the sharkfin for sirius radio
I just picked up my new 2011 335 xi coupe. In the last 08 335 XI sedan I had, there was a spot in the back under the carpet piece where I could plug in my extension cable that ran to my Sirius radio. (iirc, it was a square, pink connector.
Does anyone know where this is in the new 2011 and how to access it? It's very important since I commute a ton and need to listen to Sirius during my long commutes. Thanks in advance! |

There is no external Sirius modules in LCIs. Sirius receiver is already in your head unit, and if you're not seeing it, you may need coding to bring it up to life.

Again, there is no prewiring for Sirius or HD Radio in LCIs. If you pull your head unit out, you'll likely see the Sirius dog and/or the HD logo on the labels. If for instance, yours don't have the Sirius dog on it, then you would need to replace your headunit for another LCI's head unit with the dog on it (and then have it programmed).
But forget about pre-wiring, shark antennas and all of that, that is only for pre-LCIs. None of that works on your 20011. |
