Most Economical Way to go from CCC -> CIC?

So I'm getting tired of how slow my CCC iDrive is and was looking to update to CIC as my next mod... however, I wanted to do it for the lowest price possible. I know how to solder/code so if that can save me $$$ that would be great.

So does anyone have any suggestions? I see I can buy a screen/headunit for around $1250. Is that a good price? Do I NEED the new controller/extra USB port? (I have a USB port under the armrest).

And now that the NBT iDrive is coming to the e92 it is almost making me want to wait, but if I can do this for a good price I want to get rid of CCC ASAP

Why would you wanna go CIC when for a little more you can get the next big thing?

How much more would I be looking at? The setups I find are like 3x the cost.
