I did the stupidest thing today.
I just bought some wax and I didnt want to wash and wax today becuase I didnt have enough time. So my friend suggested that I go to the car wash and then wax it myself. That sounded perfect.
I went to the car wash.(my first time, I only do it myself) I asked the guy 1) what kind of towels do u use? 2) will it scratch my paint? answers: 1) good one specially for cars, 2) NO I got up after my car was dryed off and went to see my car. I have the worst scratch webs you seen. I was sooooooooooOOOoooo pissed. so waxed it to try and help the webbs. It didnt help from what I could see. Now my car is so webb paint looking. what can I do? :' (

Time to buy a random orbital buffer. Don't sweat it too much, they'll come out. Like they said above, check out some threads by Detailed Image or the best diy there is on "new car prep" by picus.

lol thats not what wax does. wax adds shine/depth/clarity/etc and a little protection. you need an abrasive polish.
Look into Poorboys PwSv2. I would recommend using a Porter Cable 7424 dual action polisher with a light cutting pad. Then add your wax. And stop going to car washes. you can get everything at www.autogeek.net |

Don't feel too bad. Only us obsessives will notice.
True story - I parked my car next to another black car. I have virtually no swirls, the other car looked like it had been washed with sandpaper. I said to my friends "see? that's why I bust my ass every few weeks with zaino", but none of my friends could even see the swirls, until I pointed them out. While your experience sucks - it can be handled. In the meantime know that only a professional detailer can even tell...

Next time tell the car wash guy use your Micro Fiber cloth instead of theirs. As for now, try to polish it and buff it out.

Yup, polish will do the trick. I got the same experience when bmw dealer washed my car.... F*&k. Since then, i never trust the dealer to wash my baby again.

uh oh'ssss...try some meguire's scratch X. since it is the first time you had someone mis-treat her, you should be ok. it can be found general hardware stores that sell car care products.

In this order:
Clay the vehicle Polish Wax Use a light machine polish with a random orbiter, and never, ever take your car to a carwash. |
