I hate car washes even touchless, they call it touchless but they do touch it with old/dirty towels to dry it and it causes swirls and scratches.

it'll help since you can't actually sheet the water off at a car wash with their pressure washer.
you'll get the bulky droplets off, but you'll still have to go over the car with a towel.

either way it'll be useful to dry out the mirrors, gas tank cover, and door handles. they seem to drip endless amounts of water

Doesn't the same apply to wiping with wash media and soap across the paint? ONR just makes the water super lubricious just like soap does. If you use the Gary dean method it's very little risk of marring.

ONR is great when your car is just covered by rain dust or pollen. If you're been out driving and the car has grit and grime all over from a month of no upkeep, that's a different story.

Method I use.
1. rinse car
2. wheel cleaner and wash wheels
3.use foam gun and spray lot of foam on entire car and let it sit on the car for 5 minutes
4. Rinse the car " at this point there is no dust on the car.
5. Spread foam again and drag wash mitt on half of panel, rinse wash mit, drag it on other half of panel, rinse mitt and so on.
6. Rinse car

To each his own. I hand washed for years and now I do a real wash maybe once a month or so then just do rinse less every week as maintenance. Comes out great.

Well I love my gas leaf blower! It does a great job of removing water and drying the car but does take a while to get in between the folds/channels. Afterward, only one MF towel to finish the job. My previous electric blower wasn't bad but is no comparison to a gas blower.

I have to agree. This guy seems like he only like what he has right now and is not open to any other ideas.

ONR does not replace a regular wash in any way and it never will. There will always be a place for the regular wash. If your car is a garage queen thats taken out maybe once a week, ONR is a viable answer. My car is driven all week and I only use ONR as a QD and clay lube. If your car has a light layer of dust on it, ONR should be fine. The one thing I would do would be rinsing the car before. I just don't like the idea of wiping even with the dust on there because my clear coat is super soft. A rinse wouldn't be necessary if you had a hard clear coat. With that being said, ONR is an awesome product if used with the gary dean method.

+1 Couldn't have said it any better.

I have the "Infamous" Jet Black. The paint scratches if I sneeze on it too hard. ONR is in my detailing tool kit and as such.....it is important to use the right tool for the job. I also don't like using ONR on a dirty car with soft paint as a maintenance wash either. The risk of marring is just too high. Light dust-not a problem. If I am doing a correction then it is irrelevant and using ONR actually saves me some time in some cases. ONR is a good product and I will continue to use ONR when the situation calls for it or till the day a better product/method comes along.
