Is it possible to code..
Hi!
Is it possible to code so the mirrors fold when i lock the car? Is it possible to code so the navi shuts of when i push the stop button to turn off the engine? If yes, what codes do I need to change? Is there any DIY turorial for beginners for these? Thanks! |

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1220039 This is the procedure for holding down lock for 1.5 seconds but you can change it to 0s as well: Folding mirrors after 1.5 sec: It will be in 2 modules CAS and FRM. Changes you need to make in CAS: You will need to change following options: Comfort folding/unfolding for sideview mirrors • active <-- This one • not active When holding the lock/unlock button on the remote the sideview mirrors automatically fold/unfold. To activate this function please activate ‘Comfort folding/unfolding for sideview mirrors’ in the ‘FRM’ module. Also activate ‘Comfort open using remote’ and ‘Comfort close using remote’ in this module. (CAS) Comfort closing delay (mirrors) • 0.0s • 0.5s • 1.5s <-- I selected this one General delay for comfort closing. If ‘0.0s’ is set, mirrors fold immediately when car is locked. (CAS) and Do following changes in FRM: Comfort folding/unfolding for sideview mirrors • active <-- This one • not active This function requires an installed LIN-Bus (usually installed with mirror heating)nWhen holding the lock/unlock button on the remote the sideview mirrors automatically fold/unfold. May need additional coding of the ‘CAS’ module. (FRM) Not sure about Navi.

I think you can retrofit them but I'm not sure about them responding to coding. Sorry.

Updated my post above with a bug fix.
Now windows/mirrors open/close with 0.5second delay. For 0 second delay (instant) as original poster asked. Copy my line & change 0A,0A to 00,00. But I don't recommend it. It's annoying. Try for yourself and see. |

Not sure but I think it probably will.
All you have to do is use NCS Dummy to view your TRC file. Then you can see what the settings are and what data position they are located at. If they are different to the e90 which they may be, you need to read the data position that NCS Dummy tells you the setting is located on. Then you go to notepad and find that line the NETTODAT file and edit the number value. If you don't know how to do the above that I've explained you probably need to read up on NCSdummy and try it out a little. |
