My Header-Back straight pipe exhaust (video content)
I went back and checked my threads and apparently i never made one for when i got my exhaust all finished up.
Right now, here's what i'm working with (sorry, no take-off or drive-by videos). I hope this helps to influence your exhaust options with low budget. I paid about $400 total for all the work done, Each black chrome tip cost $60 and i had to leave a "fat tip" to the shop that took off my secondary cats. lol The video below is about 95% accurate (recorded with iPhone), but it sound VERY similar in person - not much difference. I'll soon have "block-back" straight pipe exhaust once my MMW headers make their appearance. Soon after, i'll have to experiment with some mufflers/glass packs to bring my dB down (i'm assuming i'll sound similar to a nascar lol) Last edited by N0OS3; 05-06-2012 at 07:17 PM.. |

I just got a flowmaster hp2 12" muffler. I have limited space between the flange and my muffler in the custom set up. The muffler looks promising in terms of lowering sound. It is not a straight through design like your magnaflows, glass packs and race mufflers. It is two cone cylinders going into a point. Inlet cone is smaller than the outlet I believe or vice versa. You could probably throw two in there. One in each pipe. Check them out.

Sounds loud but pretty good, Could never get use to the way an exhaust sounds on an " Automatic "
