Ultimate Racing filter is at the fender grills towards the front of the car, the filter is totally away from the engine bay..

so far I like the Utimate racing CAI and the only other intake is the INJEN one but thats also pricey also...Injen intake filters are in the engine bay compared to ULTimate CAI.

i have the UR cai also... love it.
i like the LOOK of the stett though - however, i do not see how the stett feeds both turbos.

on my UR cai (and in the pics in this thread), you can see the 2 different (and LARGE) dedicated intake pipes (one for each turbo).

my 2 cents

Injen isn't a CAI. It's a filter (could also consider it a Short Ram intake I think).

Here's the pieces for the STETT Intake:

U can see on the top right, the Y joint is where it feeds the turbos.

And here is it completed (Just like in the photos posted above):

And there is a nice hissing sound as u throttle! Its addictive!

Cheers,
Sam

PS: Got them from Chad of Stett Performance! Our batch of 6 intakes were the 1st batch (June 2008) to have them powdercoated black instead of the normal silver/grey ones.

How much is the Stett CAI? And to you guys that have them, have you noticed a change in throttle response? Does it work well?

Retail is US$670 a piece (in June 08). The high-end improved and there is an audible hissing sound when its drawing air into the intake! Addictive!

Oh it works great! I raced a stock 335 when all I had was that CAI and my throttle response was much faster and I beat him by a couple of cars (both were A/T and both were E90's)
