Boot floor upgrade - spare wheel well?
Does anyone sell a boot floor well upgrade for the E90/91 that will take a spacesaver spare wheel?
The original storage well seems to be a simple plastic moulding so a revised shape to fit a spacesaver should be relatively simple if there is enough room. |

I dont think there is even room under the floor for a space saver?
Are you asking whether the floor pan could be cut out and replaced with a new floor pan with spare wheel well? this would be a big job and potentially impact the exhaust etc.. Not something I'd consider attempting. |

Not sure about other models but I had a look at this and there is no room on the 335 due to the exhausts. I thought the trim in the boot would have come out and gain a couple of inches but discovered it was actually the bottom of the car LOL

In the E91 there is definitely not enough dimension. It would need some serious panel modification, space that is just not there. Also, can you imagine BMW not giving that option, with all the flack from customers over the period. Hence the "wheel in a bag" being their only option. HighlandPete |
