Your DIY is very nice, but this line is confusing.

I would suggest to clarify that section because I'm sure many users will not understand this.

cheers!

Also a newsflash. Did you know that "PWM" strings he FRM module don't mean "Power" but actually "Pulse-Width Modulation". In other words FRM monitors that all the lights are getting 13 Volts at all times. And how? It turns on and off the power really quick (80hz, 80 times per second) until desired voltage is obtained. There are no problems with regular incandescent bulbs but that's why some LED's flicker when the engine is on (engine on = more voltage) and some cheaper HID inventors won't even start. Vendors remedy that by installing capacitors.
Damn, awesome. Wonder how that works with Lux AEs... or other aftermarket ones, for that matter. Wonder if they burn.

Also, the NCS package come with an FSW PSW MAN profile and FSW_PSW.MAN / FSW_PSW.TRC files...it caused confusion. The guide could be clarified to avoid using non valid files and profiles.

BTW, this is a great guide!

I think that might be adaptive xenons, no? I.e. malfunction in left/right adjustment. Are you retrofitting xenons?

[edit] you seem to have a 335, so that would be impossible, then, since I don't think 335s ever came w/o AHLs. Hm.

yes, this is AHL error. I just put in OEM Euro Xenons that do not have AHL, so hence the error.

Thanks all.

Look in the thread earlier on: someone posted the option how to turn off the AHL function on xenons that do not have it.

-De-Activated AM frequentie's

-Welcome Lights is now a selectable option:

They still don't work though.... What is the right way of making them come on?

-Added the option of BMW Online, but when I want to accept it says "Telephone not found"? My BlackBerry is connected via BlueTooth hwoever? Am I doing something worng?

-Added the Voice Module ($620) to my VO, but I still can't use it. Guess I really need to buy the Voice Module....?

I have installed a set of powered seat with memory on the driver side and I need to activate the key recognition to manage the driver seat memory/position.

I have compared my .TRC file with another one with the premium package and we both have the same parameters, with a few differences.

I need some help to compare these values with your .TRC and tell me how they are setted and which option you have in your car (Powered seat or not...etc) The goal is to identified which value is driver the driver seat memory.

-----------

DOORLOCKING_SEATMEMORY
nicht_aktiv for me, aktiv for the car with premium

ELDRVSEAT
nicht_aktiv for me, aktiv for the car with premium

SITZ_AUT_VERST_AUS (Boost de siege automatique) (lumbar?)
nicht_aktiv for me, aktiv for the car with premium

SITZ_AUT_VERST_ENT
nicht_aktiv for me, aktiv for the car with premium

SITZ_AUT_VERST_ENT_T

nicht_aktiv for me, aktiv for the car with premium

GET_POSITION_TIMEOUT
5_minuten (0_minuten without premium)

we both have:
SITZMEMORY_FAHRER
nicht_aktiv (strange!!)

SITZMEMORY_FAHRER_1
nicht_aktiv (strange!!)

AUT_SITZVERSTELLUNG
nicht_aktiv

DEF_AUT_SITZVERSTELLUNG (AJUSTEMENT)
nicht_aktiv

Thanks for any help!

These are the errors in the error.log in the NCSEXPER\bin directory.

----
ERROR! Modul: CVT_PROC.C, ProcNr: 02, LineNr: 10, ErrorNr: 106.
Radio_Sdars_Cic

ERROR! Modul: COAPI.CPP, Proc: coapiGetFswPswFromAsw, LineNr: 02, ErrorNr: 1000
COAPI-1000: error
----

No clues. I did have my TCU replaced about a 7 months ago (dealer installed) and I added the iPod adapter in place of the cd changer (I installed) .. not sure if that matters.
