Hi,

I have connected drive, when i go to google maps and to ''send''

the car option does not appear?!

WHy is this and how to rectifiy it?

Click 'SEND' above the map. A list will then appear down the left hand side,...
Email, Phone, Car, GPS.

Click on Car, then select BMW, then BMW UK, enter your user name...

Maybe try setting up a route, then another 'send' icon pops up on the destination...

You need an exact address on the map first Carl...

Put in the post code of Fandango Towers, then click send - you will see the car option

I believe that the only type of addresses in Google Maps that will display the ‘Send to Car’ option are ‘Business Addresses’. Private addresses will not provide the ’Send to Car’ option.

To send a Private address to the car, you need to do this via the official ‘BMW ConnectedDrive’ web site.

The ability to send private addresses via Google Maps has actually been available since prior to May 2008- I posted about it a few pages back.

Yes you can send private addresses via Google Maps, use it all the time

Maybe the cars software is older in Carsploshes as he has the older style of navi(without the fav buttons) and a different looking coloured screen to mine and yours Paul??.

Put your home address in to Google maps and click send - it works!

Activated mine today. Works a treat

Some rural addresses wont give the option to send to the car but all business and personal town addresses worked
