Wrapped Sport Steering Wheel w/Red Paddles

Hi All,

Wanted a little project so I bought a sport wheel to refinish. Here's what I did:
  • Sanded peeling trim and repainted
  • Sanded Silver Trim and Blacked Out
  • Sanded Paddles and Painted red
  • Wrapped Steering Wheel in New Leather

I want to do a custom color set up on a future car so I put this together as a bit of test case. Let me know what you think.

Looks great man. How difficult was it to wrap? Did it take you long?

It was my first time and I want to say I was a little intimidated at first but it was fairly easy. I think its a lot easier to work when its off the car. Most people do it with the wheel on I believe. I believe it took me about 2.5 hours or so to do.

I bought one of the pre cut kits from xuji. You can see from the pics, it all fits and lines up almost perfect. Key is just to be sure you get underneath the thread on the leather when you are stitching. Its easy to just get under a portion of it and not the whole thread.
