you're kidding right Allen? There are already spy shots of the F30 M3 doing road tests.....

Do you really think BMW would wait 2 years to launch the M3 after the F30 non M?

so next year an 07 is worth 70k, thats a 6 year old car which sold for about $160k new....So the depreciation is about 80-90k in 6 years
Personally not getting a DCT M3 is a waste of time and money.

If your worried about depreciation on a car then i suggest you stick to trains or get a better job

im not worried about depreciation, i was thinking of getting a manual i love them even though my current cars an auto hahah reviews rave on about the manual e92 m3s, can you do an idrive software update?

no u cant do an iDrive software update because the change on 09+ was hardware. Buttons, dial, big screen/resolution. As well as including a HardDrive to store map and music making it 10x faster then the old iDrive which was shitty dvd

DCT is different to auto. Auto is even gayer then Manual and Pcock.

There is no way in the world a manual driver can even get close to the shift times of a DCT (its instant power transfer) plus it allows you to drive faster in all situations because the car will rev match for you on all downshifts. You have to be a shit hot manual driver to be able to do that. Besides Manual M3 are slow compared to a DCT m3.

Why do you think ferrari dont even offer manual in the 458? Because manual sux and they know there is no future for manual. The ultimate machine with no manual option...... The only place for manual now is in the museum next to the horse and cart and Ford Model T.....

It's possible to do the iDrive upgrade, the retrofit will set you back around 5k, includes 8.8" screen, new controller, 40gb harddrive and can even set it up with internet streaming through your mobile phone.

i agree dct is alot quicker, but i still think a manual would be a more driver involved/ more fun on a winding blue mountains road, but dct would probs be close and alot better on a track.

however i will drive it fairly often in traffic so a dct box maybe the winner, but ill still test drive both :P

best way to think of DCT is a motorbike gear box, very different to torque converter auto box
