Ordering from Mod Bargains, is it safe?

I don't mean any disrespect to the company at all, it's just that I'm going to be ordering a set of wheels for roughly $1900 which will be done through a wired transfer (direct debit).

Is it safe to order through these guys using wire paymen?

Has anyone from Melbourne, or Australia, ordered anything from their website and were they reliable, quick, problematic, etc.?

Even if you're from the US or another country, what was the service like?

I'm just nervous about wiring through $1900 without the comfort of PayPal.

Used them for around 400 dollars worth of goods, when I had my 335i. Shipped to Melbourne.
Excellent in all regards, easy to communicate with and fast shipping. Don't stress.

You payed via direct debit/wire, correct?

To make the payment also, do I have to go to a bank to make the transfer or can it be done through the net? I'm with commonwealth if that helps.

Cheers for the response also!

They stuffed my order up when I bought my rims. I wouldn't use them again.

Can you please tell me exactly what happened?
Did you have to keep those rims? Did you return them and get a refund?

I'm pretty sure they won't allow me to use credit card. When did you purchase?

This.
They only accept direct debit currently.

I had to fax them a copy of my drivers licence and the credit card. It was a couple of years ago.

Their communication is really good.

I have had to pay by wire transfer as well so that's a small inconvenience, but as a Commbank customer you can do that through netbank no probs.

Their international shipping I found wasn't very competitive though

I ended up ordering a set of Vertini wheels from the local The Tyre Factory store, couldn't risk sending $1900 through.

1) they didn't fix the customs value like we agreed
2) they wouldnn't sign the FTA disclosure so that we get lower duty for goods made in the US. The rims I purchased were definitely US made, but the rep was just lazy and wouldn't do anything unless I emailed and CALLED repeatedly.
3) they use DB Schenker as their freight company for large items like RIMS. DB Schenker suck (try searching through these forums)

They offered me a 5% discount off my next order for my troubles (seriously, is that all?). I've obviously never used the discount.
