Choices of cars

Hi all, just narrowing down my choices and would like to hear opinion from you IF you know or have viewed these cars before.

325i $38950 97000km
Pretty high km driven, standard M sport package with the OEM black grill
http://www.carsales.com.au/private/d...-325i-15006983

325i $47000 59800km (should be more as the ad was created 3 months ago)
Quite low km driven, M sport package with heat seat, Nav professional,
http://www.carsales.com.au/private/d...-325i-14211153

335i $49999 73261km
Looks cheap with option like comfort access (I like it), Nav professional (when I check its VIN) but I do not like the rims as I am more after the double spoke 225 which the above 325i have...and I doubt if the price is too good...
http://www.carsales.com.au/private/d...-335I-14893326

325i convertible $50000 70000km
Convertible, standard heated seat, Nav business only
http://www.carsales.com.au/private/d...-325i-14914907

335i $54888 59014km
Located in Perth, have not idea about its spec yet as there is no VIN available on the ad
http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/de...-335I-14207402

325i $58990 42263km
2011 model, with the DRL, revised tail light, proper paddles shift that I want, comfort access, saved me from spending on mod
http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/de...-325i-14774984

Please feel free to voice out any of your opinion, particularly if you have viewed it before or know the seller, and your recommendation.

I thank for all the comments in advanced.
Thanks a lot everyone.

I will definitely go for the 335 if I had the chance to do it again, don't get me wrong, 325 is a great car, enough for day to day driving, but if you want more performance, there's nothing 325 can compare to the 335,if you have 50k to spend on a car, why not make the most out of it?

Definitely 335i, the performance is way better, and top of the line 3 series.

I think you should choose the one that you can get the best deal on and that you should make sure you understand how the wholesale car market works in Australia.

I can tell you that in the US wholesale market, where the dealers buy the used cars they will resell, M Sport packages and fancy rims are of no value at all outside the fact that they dealer may expect that a consumer will pay more for the car because they are on the car. Ditto pretty much everything else that is aesthetic, with the one exception of leather seats, but even there, leather is leather, what kind or what color does not matter. The things that matter most are mileage, accident history and what shape the car's chassis and body are in, maintenance history, existence of sport suspension, and transmission. Certain gizmos will up -- a bit, not much -- the car's wholesale value: A/C, navigation system, the internally mounted cameras and possibly power seats.

If you are considering buying a 335i, don't even bother with the 325 cross all the others cars off your list, that should make it easier for you.

I was going to snap up the 335i in perth, i know it has comfort access.

Seems like a good car, i was so close to buying it the dealer got me a Stat Dec stating it hadnt been in any accidents.

Go for it however your price range seems to have 20k end to end, not trying to be rude but i would focus on snapping up a good 325i for the price im guessing you want to spend, if not 335i! i love mine!

Might be wrong, but its my understanding anyway

Unfortunately my 335i doesn't have comfort access, but it does have pro nav.

Yes all per lci do not have comfort access and pro nav as standard! It's all option!

Thanks for that.
Hmm, I am more concerning the price and not specifically in whether 25i or 35i at the moment, unless I can get the DCT 335i with similar price, then I will get it, coz that one look ore up market in the cabin.

+1

If you are after performance, don't even bother with anything other than a 335i or M3...

EDIT: My 335i has sat navi but no comfort acess neither.

Actually comes to think about it, it doesn't seem to have anything... (no M-sport pack, no sunroof, no upgraded stereo...), I must have picked one of the only 'bare bone, no options ticked' 335i in Perth

Cartta, do you mean you have viewed that car? Or just an interstate enquiry?
Have you got its VIN so that I can check its option list? There is not VIN on the ad and I email them to requested it but haven't heard anything back from them yet.
Hmm, yes, my range from $40-60k, but within that range, seems not having much decent choice for 325i.
If I really spend over $50k, this 335i and the 2011 325i wold be my choice, but even so, I still don't know which one to pick.
Sounds like the 2011 325i is better as it is newer, but the 335i will give me a more powerful ride yet more km driven and older. (Feel like newer one will involve lesser repair costs as I plan to use the car for about 4-5 years...)

The 2nd hand market cars in Perth usually are quite standard or with less option....sometimes, the cars dealers are selling, for the same price, WA got everything standard while other states have a few option equipment or even fully optioned (not just for BMW, but also other brands)
Maybe the high stamp duty in WA? So, buyer tends to add less option to the car?

I more or less have narrowed down my decision, either the cheapest 325i on my list with 97000km driven, or the upper end, that $54888 335i with 59xxx km driven.
Money wise, that 325i, but I worry if it will involve serious repair in the near future as it has been driven such a high km.....
That 335i, looks good, but I am still a bit hesitate to it as don't really want to spend so much for a car which is quite outdated (at least 09+ ones got DCT, and the 4 series is due to release in Oct...)
So, thinking if it is worth to spend so much, if not, would go for the cheapest 325i as ultimately, I want the coupe, but am tempted to get a more powerful version - 335i....

Just interstate, i don't have the vin either sorry!

If you have the money grab the 335i, nothing compares to the engine! Cabin wise i do agree the DCT looks a lot better however the gearstick isn't to bad.

The 4series will be coming out soon, but will have the n55 and electric steering both are no where near as much fun!

Have you driven but 335 and 325? If not I suggest you doing that as it like just give you a better idea on the drive and also the power. I would say that will really narrow the choice to one!
