Front bushes

Had my front wheels balanced as I could feel vibration thru the steering wheel and slight on braking at higher speed on mway.one of the wheels was out and after balancing is a lot better but noticed some excessive front to back movement on the near side. I'm thinking maybe control arm bushes worn.has anyone else had similar issues and which bush is most likely to fail. Also if I replace are the power flex bushes a better alternative. Thanks for any advice

Is your car a LCI? I've noticed than in nearly all 6 pot diesels there is slight resonance from engine vibrations. I complained about this before and dealer gave me numerous cars to try out. In the end I just put it down as being normal.

The braking one might be your brake reaction bushes. These tend to also creak in certain damp weather conditions when going over speed bumps slowly too (a bit like creaky ARB bushes).
