Had my car smogged yesterday. The tech opened the hood for visual inspection, checked underneath for secondary cats and hooked up his computer to the obd2 port.

yea they check all cats, especially test only station. they have long handle mirror can reach underneath the car.

Hmm yes they do. They both say ULEV2 though in the supplement. Isn't the N51 supposed to be SULEV?
