Procede v3 rev 2 canbus ... O2 simms percentage??

What should it be set at? I'm running fully catless with all the usual Stg 3 goodies? Tried 80 and 75 but keep getting codes and limps every so often..

When I was on v3 rev 1 I had bms o2 simms plugged into the v3 harness, never a single issue. With rev 2 canbus, o2 simms are already built in so I'm not running the bms one inside this harness.

80% should work. At least it has on every catless car I've seen. Are you sure you are tripping the PO420 code and not something else?

Not sure what the code numbers were as this was on a SnapOn Modis reader...I also got some code never seen before until today about some Magnet or magnetic something...I also keep getting an evap code that gives a check engine light most likely related to the evap valve ... We had an option to reprogram it using that scanner and we did...still don't know why the catalyst codes though for 0 and 1

Why don't you read the codes with the PROcede? It will give you a better picture of what is going on. The SnapOn tool isn't as usefull. I suspect the code you are seeing is related to something else other than the cat inefficiency code(s).

Here's how it works right:

It works just like the original code clearing demo shown here:

Except now, the codes are displayed/logged in the User Software (DME Diagnostic Codes) upon first throttle application ("arming" step). The second throttle application (clearing step) clears the codes.

The codes numbers are listed and cycled through in 1 second increments. If there are 3 codes, for instance, it will cycle through them in 3 seconds. Pretty simple.

So yes, you will need your laptop to read codes (for now, at least). And yes, you will need to refer to a code list (which we have put together) to see the code description. This list will be part of the documention which you can keep on your laptop for reference. And yes, this reads ALL codes. Extended or otherwise.

You can go to the link in my sig for the last user software (just posted up a few days ago) as well as the most current DME code list (excel file). Very simple.

Right now code 10770 not in the list..no cat codes...

Here is a weird thing I noticed over the past 3-4 weeks when the half-engine light came up...maybe its just me BUT it always always comes up if I baby the car...as funny as it sounds, it never ever happens during spirited driving...i'll have to catch that code(s) as well when it happens again...will this code/codes stay because half-engine light goes away after i restart the car??

I've now set the o2 modifier to 70% as with 100, 80 and 75, half-engine light used to come up, few times a month and i think i've been seeing cat codes but will confirm next time...Could this fix it if say this was supposed to be set a bit stronger for my particular car/conditions?

That's not a cat code. It's a pretty unusual code so it's not in our code list.

2A12 (in hex)
DMTL diagnosis module tank leakage,
magnetic valve, input signal

It has nothing to do with the o2 sim feature. You have some sort of tank leakage issue. Might want to see a dealer for that as it won't fix itself!

right, i did see that magnetic word somewhere in the code name when I reported this issue first, thanks a lot for looking it up...on that screen the 2 cat codes were listed as well, first just said catalytic, second code said catalytic 2 something...they haven't trigerred now (or yet) but if they do and the half-engine light comes up, will those codes stay and will I be able to get to them using Procede's software after I restart the car and the half-engine light is gone??

I remember messing with the oil catch can last...is there any way that something i did around there could've caused the above 2A12 code you think??

thanks

Possibly. I've seen mis-installed catch cans cause all sorts of problems. My suggestion would be to remove it and see if the problem persists. And keep the o2 modifier value at 80% (for off road use only, of course).

Ok, i've set the o2 simm at 80 now and will keep it like that...here's a thing about the oil catch can...i drained oil from it a while back but when i did it, the drain screw from the bottom fell through in the engine bay and i was lazy to retrieve it...soooo, i temporarily duck taped the bottom of the can until i get a replacement screw....time has passed, RR didn't respond (just sent them another email) and the can is sitting in my engine bay like that...hasn't ever leaked but don't know if that could be causing this/any issues...its sealed with duck tape very very well

The duct tape is ghetto man. At least take the can to a local hardware store and see if they can find at least a bolt that will fit the drain hole. Don't forget to get yourself an o-ring also. You might be able to take it to an auto store and they find an oil drain plug that will fit. Not sure though since the can's drain plug is awfully small compared to normal oil drain plugs that I've seen.

Just got my OCC out and the tape on the bottom actually looks like it was eaten up and ripped, with the drain hole completely open. What a mess...

And it told you that you aren't having just a simple cat inefficiency problem.

Same. 80%. You can even run 80% on a car with all 4 stock cats. Don't know what kind of off only road race cars have that set up though.
