Those ones on BMR?
Stoptech kit. All 4 rotors and pads, drilled and slotted for under $700, stop as good as oem and less dust.

yeah chose the akebono cos I heard good things about brake dust which was my biggest complaint about the stock pads, probably would've gone something else if I want all out best performance.

I don't do donuts in carparks :/ thats some p plater shit right there HAHA

just got my brakes done today, i didnt buy a new sensor so gotta order one and go back again!

overall I'm very happy with them, they look SO nice and perform well enough for me, I've just noticed that the pedal travel is a little more but maybe cos they aren't bedded in properly yet?

anyway, here are some pics, also painted the calipers black

and a photo after washing the car at Worx, with a beautiful E46 M3 that was there for a gearbox problem after a track day at Sandown!!

Looks sick Lehman! I was very close to going slotted and cross-drilled but went with Genuine BMW in the end only cos I was able to source Genuine BMW brake pads and rotors at a decent price.

Akebono ceramics got so many bad looks from people cos we were thrashing my car and bedding my brakes in and also testing the SMG in the E46 M3 at the same time haha

I'd give them a good hot bedding and see if that solves your pedal problem, typically that's all that's needed. Also keep in mind Akeobono pads are going to have a little different feel than your stock pads, they'll take a touch of getting use to (usually about a weeks worth of driving and people say they no longer notice the difference).

thanks for the reply ECS! yeah I've been driving on them for about 300km or so now and they feel a lot better. have gotten used to them now and love the no brake dust, usually if I don't wash my car for about a week I can already see my fronts start to have a think coat of brake dust but not anymore! haha

I've been running Akebono ceramics for a few weeks now. Here are my thoughts.

After they bedded in they felt fine. Not quite as much initial bite as OEM but nothing to worry about.

But I took the car for a sprightly run through the hills on Monday (Geez the car is going well by the way!) and found the limits of these pads very quickly. Very bad brake fade after not very many late braking moves into corners (albeit from rather high speeds).

I didn't buy these as a track pad, nor do i expect them to be, but I've run cheaper pads on heavier and higher power cars before with much better results.

I probably wouldn't buy them again.
but if you don't (try to) drive like Craig Lowndes they will be fine.

Almost no brake dust though!
