I just got the VRSF 5" FMIC. Did you get the upgrade pipping? I couldn't reach the top of the pipes to get them off to replace them with the upgraded pipes that I got with the FMIC. Was it difficult for you? Didn't have to cut anything did you?

I won't go over everything we discussed on pm, but for those wondering, it just takes a lot of effort and the piping/couplers included with the vrsf fmic will go on. I used a flat head screw driver and a small pair of pliers to couple on the piping...

Heard the exhaust today in person and sounded pretty good. Nice improvement over stock and gives the car a very deep tone

great job but i'm curious on one thing, you do your own brakes but no exhaust? lol Exhaust is the easiest mod on this car. gaskets could be tricky tho unless you use some lube to keep the gaskets in place.

Thanks! And yes slightly... When I installed it I did not trim the plastic piece correctly and the front mount sat a little crooked resulting in a small boost leak. Once the piece was trimmed, no boost leak whatsoever~~~

Thanks! I did do my own brakes because it was easy to lift up wheel by wheel with jacks/stands... For the exhaust, while it was on the lift I noticed that the bolts to the stock dp's needed to be torched off and that is a little out of my comfort zone to do with just jacks and stands in my garage...

I forgot about this thread but damn you've been killing it recently.

I considered that exhaust and now I kind of wish I got it. Shit, sounds better than my magnaflow system which costs 3x more. Mostly cause I need to install my resonators.

did it throw a code at you for the boost leak? I thought your fmic didn't require trimming.

Yeah neither did I. It fit, but was not a perfect fit to the least bit. No code from a boost leak but did hear it and saw about 1.5-3 psi below of what it should be. Now boosting at 16 on map 5 with 93oct.

I hope you don't mind me asking, but how much did you pay? I purchased a 06 330i with 98k miles and the water pump went out last weekend. I took it to my indy mechanic and he said it will be ready today hopefully. Took him three days! I hope he didn't ruin anything
