Just get a drill bit that is slightly smaller than the mounting screws.

a set of two hooks cost around $15. I do like the Audi more for its design.

I prefer the VW design and just ordered through ECS Tuning. I had a few Jetta's in recent years and am dying now without it. You can't imagine how many gallons of water i've hung from one of those hooks and it never broke!

So did the VW design holder part #1K5867615A come with mounting hardware?

My hook came with hardware but I didn't use it. There was no lip to use the speednut on, so i ended up using self-tapping sheetmetal screws.

I'm not having any trouble with mine, but it has only been installed for a week so far. As an engineer though, I don't anticipate a problem.

Just installed 2 of the VW hooks over the weekend and the install went perfectly. I stuck some deafening stickers so the hook doesn't rattle against the trunk's metal roof too

I fitted these too at the weekend, worked a treat!! I used 6mm x 30mm self tappers - not the supplied screws

I recently traded in my Jetta for a 335i, and man have I been missing the grocery hooks. I'll definitely be stopping by VW dealer on my way home today.
