If you're hearing more than the intake whoosh, and diverter valve letting off pressure, it could be the increased turbo whistle sound which I've noticed as well. It's mainly noticeable under low rpm high load situations.

Installed mines today. I'm hearing all the above sounds, and it's going to take some getting used to, but I plan on sticking it out. Have to admit though, initially I am not a fan of the sound, although I love the intake.

I installed one for my brother yesterday. I wouldn't say it is as prominent as the dci on the N54. You do hear the turbo spool and wastegste a little more. The main difference is that the diverter valve is louder. I'm sure it will be louder at higher boost pressures. Great buy for the price though.

Installed tonight, WAY louder turbo spool and diverter valve sounds. Actually almost startling how different it sounds from stock (The car is only 3 days old so 2 days stock and just today with the intake)

Install was pretty straightforward although getting the bracket in was a BITCH, mines a little crooked but holding in nice and tight none the less.

I do Eddi. I do. I'll bring it to work one day. Can you meet by 59th and Lexington some time this week? Brackets included.

hey, I've had mine for a mth now and love it. Not sure about the farting noise as I haven't heard anything like that. However, my fuel economy has taken a dive but I think it has to do more with the way I drive now than the intake.

I like mine a lot... fitment was good (with the bracket, popped off the pipe several times without the bracket) and the sounds are cool...

BUT..

I'm a dragstrip freak and I'm having a real hard time with my IAT's.... They are about 20-25F higher than earlier this year. The track temps were only 5-10 degrees hotter, and yea, it might just be the ambient temps causing the IAT's to skyrocket but I'm going to run the stock intake again and log to see if IAT's come down any. I think there is something to be said for a completely enclosed intake with fresh air ports.

Run without the Cowl and youll hear the turbos WAY more. I did that on my N54 and it was bliss And don't worry about the rain, I just drove without the cowl in a MONSOON of rainy weather with no issues.
