They guys at HG did some comparison pulls on their track cars with their dyno and other dynojets and they found a 15%, 16%, or even a whopping 18% difference, as I was told. For customers in disbelief, they have a built in converter that converts the numbers to DynoJet to show the difference between the "Heartbreaker" numbers to the common DynoJets to help gauge an idea to where their numbers stand. But elevation, humidity, car condition, ambient air, and dyno caliberation can play a factor in thos numbers as well.

My main objectives were to:

- See how much power my car made on 100% E85, FBO, running Wedge's flash, and the Proceed stacked
- Compare how much power the different AFR Enleanment settings from 20, 15, and 10 made
- Record logs on the dyno for later analysis

I've had this car for about a year now and have been lurking on here and learning as much as I can about modding and tuning with this interesting platform. It's been an interesting journey to say the least. These cars respond so well.

There were a total of six pulls on the Dyno Dynamics dyno at HG. Only after the third pull, we began logging after we got the car up to temp. Run #4 on the "comparison mode" sheet was omitted by the tech. The time stamps along with their respective run# should help with the numbers for referencing purposes.

On the Heartbreaker numbers: (2nd sheet)

4 - 16:12:02 - 399.1 HP (Red) - AFR Enleanment of 20
5 - 16:25:49 - 405.3 HP (Green) - AFR Enleanment of 15
6 - 16:42:08 - 407.5 HP (Pink) - AFR Enleanment of 10

On the Converted numbers: (1st sheet)

4 - *The run was omitted*
5 - 16:25:49 - 476.2 HP (Green) - AFR Enleanment of 15
6 - 16:42:08 - 478.8 HP (Red) - AFR Enleanment of 10

In calculating the percentage difference between the converted numbers against the Heartbreaker's, I have found 16.11% to 16.08%.(http://www.calculatorsoup.com/calcul...calculator.php)

Again, these are just numbers and can give just an estimate of what my car is making. The shop is right down the street from my office, so it's convenient for me. So long as I tune with the same dyno, tuning should be on the correct path. The very first pull, the car climbed on the rollers and we had to torque the rear end down further. IAT's were insanely high but the pulls were consistent. And that's with Zero smoothing.

I've been using 100% E85 for around two months now. I commute 80 miles round trip per day on the weekdays and average around 310 miles per E85 fill-up ($2.85 to $3.05 per gal) and average around 17 mpg on the i-Drive. This is with stop and go traffic for about an hour during rush hour. Car runs very smooth and pulls really HARD! So much torque!!

I have accomplished my objectives that day and now know how my car is operating. Thanks to @WedgePerformance, Dan, @SteveAZ, and the guys at @HGMotorsports, I'm satisfied. Now I can focus on the bike and the upcoming track days in SoCal

2008 e90 335 auto

BB stage 1 flash
VRSF catless dp
bms dci

2 4th gear pulls, highest one was 305 WHP, 360 TQ

2nd pull was around 295hp, and I forget the tq (heatsoak sucks..)

I'll try to get the dyno sheet up soon, but does that sounds right? I figured i was closer to 330/350 whp based on a few trips to Mexico.

edit: mustang dyno

10/13/14 I did 475 hp 535 tq on a mustang dyno with my RBs. I posted the results in thread on here. This is not a record just an idea of what can be achieved by an end user with RB turbos with appropriate mods.

I think your difference between Dynojet and Mustang are quite a bit off... Assuming they are both well calibrated you should see no more than roughly 40-50hp difference. ie a 470 Mustang read should be roughly 510-520 dynojet. Again, on a well calibrated machine. That doesn't take into account the low reading mustangs and then going to a high reading dynojet. Another reason you stick with one dyno regardless of type!!!

Trueform technologies tuned RBs with 100% E85 and 800cc meth and very high timing to 640whp at 21 ramp to 25 psi setting the record. If you search for the trueform technologies page on Facebook they have a video and the dyno graphs there.

Here are my results since going with the Wedge/BQ Cobb tuning. Stock turbos, FBO 335is, DCT, E60, no meth, 5th gear pull (standard for DCT). The first graph is my DD map. Dyno guy started a little late on the second run. Second graph is a experimental map that hasn't been customized for my car hence the throttle closure but it picks right back up for the biggest #s. Up 27hp and 56tq over my best on a JB4/E85 flash on map 7.

I currently run FBO w/ E50 (no meth) and am very happy with the power but filling up and mixing E every week is getting annoying. I'm looking for the highest dyno on 91 octane and meth. I may add meth and stop running e85 for convenience... Probably won't happen lol.

It is close to E85 power wise, a buddy of mine runs that and i run E50-e60 and were close whenever we race.

Retuned to optimize for 93 octane by proTUNING Freaks . Previous 91 octane tune put down 343whp and 414wtq.

Mods: FBO. No meth. No E85. Straight 93 octane pump gas.

The car was a bit cool on the first run, but after a little warm up, the next runs were beautifully consistent. AFRs stayed right around 12!

Overall, I'm very happy. Just wish there was a way to sustain the TQ/HP in the upper RPM - guess I need RBs...

Edit: Wonder what made this car hold all that top end power. It's FBO on pump gas as well, no meth. Cobb STG2+ map. Hmm.

335i DCI, FMIC, CP, CBE. Stock downpipes yet. Tuned on an E34 mix. Self tuned with Cobb ATR. Made 274/268 on a Dynojet when it was stock and w/tune 367/428 and aligned the CF and everything in vDyno to match. Added some mods and adjusted the tune and picked up ~30whp/40wtq.

Mods: 6” Active Autowerke intercooler, BMS meth injection, CM10 nozzle, 90/10 mix by weight, BMS Charge Pipe, NGK 5992 plugs indexed and gapped to 0.022”

Fuel: Running E60 mixed with 91, on stock LPFP

Conditions: Ambient temperature 80F and 1060’ elevation

First run: 4th gear, 421.38hp/466.58tq
Second run: 4th gear, 420.98hp/462.08tq
Third run was done in 5th gear just for kicks since the first two were very consistent, boost was higher and held longer in that gear which explains the 5hp bump, the 22tq bump is probably due to spike from no smoothing of the graph.
