Carbon fibre vinyl wrap colour choices

Has anyone carbon fibre vinyl wrapped their interior other than black or any other vinyl solid colours?

I see various colours on ebay and just wondered if anyone has deviated from the normal black? (I am not intending to wrap the interior in lime green lol)

That would be great if you can take some pics DannyB

I have tried 3M black CF which is good (just too expensive)/gloss black vinyl and fancied a change.

Maybe silver CF or brushed alluminium or deep red CF (again not sure how this would look)

Some good examples in this thread I started a couple of months back

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=737296

I ended up doing mine gloss anthracite. These are the only photos I have at the moment. As you can see, I haven't done the centre section yet because I'm thinking of doing it carbon. I'm still not sure if I like the anthracite yet if I'm honest.

Mine is silver carbon fibre and looks brilliant! Did it myself with some cheap stuff from http://justcarbon.co.uk/ but as long as you take your time and get the corners/edges right with the hair dryer, it can look really good!

Does anyone know how much material you would need to do a full set of e92 trims?.

Cheers,

What size do you need to purchase to wrap all the interior trim?

I bought 5ft x 2ft and it was just about enough so I'd say 6ft x 2ft minimum

I think it will depend also if you go for CF and have the weave going all the same way

i got 1270mm x 1000mm for my E90 and it was literally 10mm off being enough to do it all the same way round, so should be fine for a coupe!

Also just remembered i had a go at wrapping it myself before giving up and letting my mate do it so i wasted a bit so that dim should be enough for an E90 if no screw ups are made!

i got a little tester pack with 10cm samples of 3m di-noc carbon & also some brushed aluminium texture vinyls in about 15 colours. Unfortunately in these de-bossed finish vinyls the only 2 that look any good in either texture are the matt black and silver IMO, even the gloss black looks quite poor.

gloss black looks so artificial. the matte 3M looks the business, we use that for our show cars [static ones]

I bought mine from www.metrorestyling.com

They're in the USA but it was still cheap. It cost me 34 delivered including a craft knife and a squeegee and arrived in 8 days.

Yous may want to check these guys out. I had my diffuser dipped in carbon effect it came out really well. They dip the panel and then lacquer it so you have a nice shiny durable surface with no creases etc. http://www.3d-dip.co.uk/
