How to measure IAT's?

As a procede user, can anyone think of a way to monitor IAT's on a 52mm gauge? I know there are gauges out there but I don't know what type of signal they take as input nor do I know what signal is output by our ecu. Has anyone tried this before without a JB3 and BMS tuning gauge? If not, does anyone have any thoughts here? This is a very valuable stat to monitor for us Meth users. Flow rate and IAT's are my main goal at the moment.

This has been extensively tested and I am not sure there is anything to gain at this point. Monitoring flow in my opinion is basically the only thing that matters so that you know what you are flowing. Here is a video of an IAT guage next to a flow guage during a dyno run.

I dont know what meth kit you have, but our CMGS can read/display intake temps, we have a few intake sensors in stock.

So, can I put a custom sensor in my intake piping somewhere? Where would/should I put this sensor at?

With our CMGS even alot of factory air temp sensors can be intregated into the CMGS. I dont know how the factory air temp sensor works on the BMW, but if its a 0-5V and you know what temp the air is at high voltage you can do a lineriazation and set the cmgs to display it. You can even add air temp into your injection map and inject based on boost and use an air temp correction.

I have maybe 2 or 3 air temp sensors left, when they are gone I cant get these any more. they display air temps on the CMGS, there are a handful of customers doing that with the cmgs right now.

The sensor would go into your intake piping. I would personally put it just after the IC. You can do it post meth injector. We have some 2 ways switches, some customers like to to go pre and post injection as well.[

Just some ideas.

CM.

In the future, I think Shiv will work them both (flow and IAT's) into the dash display. He mentioned setting up the ability to toggle between many readings. I would hope that all values are being monitored for peak, or in the case of IAT's peak and valley levels (and reset) that can be recalled even if you are not actively viewing them on the dash.

I've thought about getting the labonte flow meter. I would assume I could tap into the 0-5V signal wire I ran to the front for the proceed progressive function and just run that in to the cabin through the same area where the boost tube goes through for the Rix gauge.

I just want to wait a little bit and see what Shiv's final product looks like before any more cash outlays. Until then, I can just take the laptop with me and log these things in the car when needed. Please let us know which way you go with your setup.

My intent is to visibly and see in real time the IAT changes from my meth flow on a 52mm gauge. I want to show meth flow rate on one gauge, and IAT's on the other. I need a gauge and a compatible sensor to put on my intake piping. The procede display refreshes too slowly for something like this. Anyone know where I can get a 52mm gauge and compatible sensor at??

I bought this:

http : // www . frozen boost . com/product_info.php?products_id=800

without the spaces.

I will have my meth nozzles near the TB. But I also need to get my IAT sensor in there also, is there a distance that I need to keep the sensor away from the meth nozzle?
