Removing driver seat

Hey guys need some help here.....my wife had the 328 yesterday and she spilled a timmies ice cap in the car....DRIVER SIDE

anyway we were able to get it cleaned up however some got under the driver seat...

looked under there and there are a ton of wires/control box etc..is it safe to assume i can just take out the seat and not have to worry about anything going off IE the airbags...

there is a box under the seat is that the airbag module?

Thanks

Remove the four bolts holding the seat in, disconnect the battery, disconnect the seat, then remove the seat.

Even with the battery connected, the airbags are not going to go off with the key out. But disconnecting the battery is just a safety precaution.

I thought there was a DIY here on the forum as I remember reading it before. However I cannot seem to find it. But basically you have the 4 bolts on the rail. To remove the seat completely you have to remove the 5th bolt for the seatbelt. There should be a cover by the seatbelt on the seat. Pop it open and it should reveal the 5th bolt.

Under the seat you have to move a slider from a yellow box to the left with a flat head. (Not sure if that applies for the US version)

After doing this, the seat should be free and can be taken out of the the vehicle.

I will try to find the link to the actual DIY.
