Injen install

Should there be space between the coolant tank and the pipe?

Mine is literally flush against the tank and I can't seem to tweak it.

I didn't know injen cai ran all the way down to there, shouldn't it be wrapping around the upper side of the engine like the BMS one does? Unless it now replaces that inlet pipe. I also dont understand how you got the maf sensor down there?

Edit: never mind just looked it up, didn't know it was a 2 piece design!

E92 335... I'll double check but pretty sure it would be impossible to have it on backwards

Thats what I was thinking, I think that pipe in the pic definitely goes on the upper side.

Holy crap!!!

Mine fits the exact same way so I must have the pipes wrong too!

No wonder there is a gap between the intake filter and car.

Glad I saw this as I posted months ago with pics and got nowhere. As much as I enjoy working on the car myself I really have no skill.

Join the club. For most "assemble it yourself" furniture, I get close to the end and then realize "That part should have gone in the other way" then I have to disassemble most of it and reassemble again.

Thanks for the 'RTFM' replies. I really would not have been able to do it without it the instructions... so yes. I have them and have read through it many times trying to figure this out.

I go back to the fact that the way the bracket and the crank line harness line up, how would it be possible to have the pipe backwards?

You have the pipe in the right place - otherwise you wouldn't have been able to put the MAF sensor. It's a tight fit, have to wiggle it in. To give yourself some room, adjust the couplers. Mine is close to the coolant tank but I have a finger gap of space.

ask yourself this, "why would the sticker face that way when all they're pictures and instructions on the net have it the otherway?"

Ya, the pipe was most definitely NOT backwards. Just not seated very flush to the housing. Once that was remedied, it fit fine.

And ya, it sounds great.
