Hey all,
Have any of you been experiencing this? The door area (it's not exactly the handle) seems to be peeling off. I was wondering if anyone has a fix for this as it is unsightly. Thanks |

My steering wheel insert is doing that as well. They are replacing under warranty next week. I will be replacing myself in the future. Seems common. Also the soft touch black around the Air Con controls seem suspect for easy wear.

i'm gonna see what I can do to get some sort of vinyl wrap on there and refinish it.
i noticed there are no screws or anything in that area so i'm guessing the whole thing must be clipped together... i gotta find a diy to take it apart |

Lucky you are under warranty still! Where in Michigan are you located? My wife is from Ann Arbor.

unfortunately my leather is damaged too, beige interior and sweaty arms after the gym and rough cleaning chemicals, not a good mix

you can replace just the top armrest part. I just did it this week.
Was 169 dollars. I removed the door panel to replace it. But on my e92 (08 335), I could have just pullled straight up on it and it would have come off. Just clips holding it in. If I ever have to replace it again... I wont remove the entire door panel. I will just pull up on it till it releases. Go to your dealer and they can order it for you. My car was black so they had it in stock. They actually had 6. Apparently they are replaced often. |
