Transfering BMW Services to new owner?
Hi, relatively new to the site so still finding my feet a little!
I have recently purchased a LCi 330d MSport on a 58 reg that is still in warranty till the end of the year. It has the Professional HDD Sat nav along with the BMW services/assist package. In the Handbook I have found the 'Change of owner' card, which I am about to fill in and sen off to BMW UK. The question is, will this transfer BMW services to me also? I read on the BMW assist site that this is provided with new vehicles for the first 3yrs. Does anybody know the cost after this expires? |

I think it is £120 per year. Mine has just expired and I have yet to make up my mind whether it's worth it just to send destination info to the car - even though that is very convenient.

Thanks for the replies, i guess this is maybe a question for Anneka?
£70 is reasonable. For me it will depend how many of the services that it will effect. Anybody know if when it expires the "Go online for track info" function will disappear? This is very useful! |

I emailed BMW a few weeks back and it's £120 to renew.

We are working on trying the get the BMW assist service transfer over on our newly acquired pre-owned BMW. After a call to BMW we were told that the dealership must do the transfer. The dealership said normally there is a cost to transfer but they will see what they can work out. Has anyone else paid a "transfer fee" or anything like this ?
Also they said that the service is for 4 year or 50k miles ?? Is the free service time based on mileage and time ? |

Maybe it's different in the US, although I would call them again and ask them to clarify their previous response. Hopefully your dealer will do it for you at zero cost to you. |
