There is a performance steering wheel for the AT so I guess there is a cut out for the original paddles....... I have seen a few members who swapt there paddles for m3 paddles on other steering wheels so I guess it can be done.........

just want to make sure before I order the goodies and it doesnt' work

Thanks people.

I was thinking about going the same route. Id imagine it would work since the performance wheel is made for all 3er's and 1er's..But if someone is sure of it, it would be helpful..

Yes, the performance steering wheel works with M3 paddles.

Thanks Amir87,

The paddles are mounted on your link, That is however an M3, don't they always have dct ?. I have a 335 E92 with normal AT, won't that make a difference ?

The M3 paddels work fine and wire up to a normal 3 with a Step transmission - no worries there, the cutouts for the paddles are slightly differen between regular step paddles and M3 paddles. If there is a specific M3 performance wheel, you will want that to go with the M3 paddles. If the wheel is for a standard 3 with step paddles, then the paddles will bolt up, but doesn't fit the holes perfect.

Thanks Rob, I think there is no specific M3 performance wheel, just one for manual and one for automatic.

Hi Rob----I would like to add the M DCT paddles to my new E92 M-sport with the Step. It came with the M-sport steering wheel and the step paddles. Do you think I will have an issue with fitting the M paddles? Thanks!
