Potential Group Buy: 335 Guage Setup
how many of you guys will be interested in this boost guage pictured below? if you are interested please send me a pm. i am trying to get this produced for the 335's and if all goes well i will start a group buy on this. all depends on demand.
any questions please pm me or just post here. Quick FAQ: 1. Q: Will the guages block the speedo, tech, etc? A: No, the guages are setup in a perfect position where it doesn't block the speedo, tech, etc. 2. Q: What color do the guages glow? A: The guages glow almost the same as the oem orange look. 3. Q: What gauages are provided? A: A/F Ratio & PSI 4. Q: any cutting, smelting, etc required? A: no, the unit mounts directly over the steering colum perfectly and the setup is complete plug and play. 5. Q: Can i get different guages such as temp, etc. A: originally the ideal setup is a/f ratio and psi but yes whatever you like and dependent on availability and fitment. 6. Q: How long until this is actually ready for sale and shipment? A: production depends on our demand and is really easy to produce. the company just has to make a steering colum mount that will fit ours other then that the actual unit holding the guages is already good to go. only thing needed to be made is the mount which goes directly above your steering column. |

I would go for one that replaces the lower center panel where the heated seats switches are located. I don't like this one at all makes the steering wheel area too cluttered.

It does look kind of cheap.
Maybe the pictures are bad, but I'm not feeling it either.

i will have to get more pictures of different angles. personally i think it is great. it is in the line of view no need to rip and tear off the middle console to make space and not a pillar pod either.

Turning a 40k car into rice. wow didn't realize people on this forum wouldn't be so open to ideas. rice o roni? guage in pillar is pure rice. guages in center console eh i guess that has been the only solution to guages so nothing to say there. having guages ontop of the column i don't think is rice. gives the driver a new type of feel behind the wheel seeing the needles go up and numbers spike. buy hey that just my .02. mickey mouse guages like hpf? hpf has made an amazing turbo kit for m3. proven both reliable and safe being one of the only turbo solutions out there for m3 other then the aa and maybe d/a. i think the setup is perfect. right in front of drivers view, doesn't block anything, and can be turned on and off whenever. it does not give a ricey feel compared to a b pillar and is very simple to install (plug n play). but hey to each their own. anybody else interested? |

Eh, i'm not really a big fan of that design, but if you like that then you might be interested in this...
http://www.namotorsports.net/detail..../PNASM-INR-300 I'm not sure if that is a universal unit or if it is made specifically for the 335, but it is pretty similar. That is from a website of one of the vendors on here so you could always PM them and ask. Just throwing another idea out there. I just mounted my boost gauge in a CF pod and mounted it to the fake vent on top of the dash to the left of the steering wheel. It works, doesn't look too bad IMO, and I can see it fine while I drive.
