You need to change the thread title to carbon roof and sunroof delete.

Some people are forgetting the substantial weight savings from the delete.

Along with weight savings, you are also lowering the center of gravity of the car.

theres no weigh savings in this swap..unless your getting rid of a sunroof..but thats obvious..i did my roof earlier this year..its pure looks no weight difference fyi

i swapped my ENTIRE roof as well with the oem carbon fiber roof that is on m3 e92's...no weight savings,sorry buddy

Are you drunk? He showed the old roof weighing ~24lbs and the carbon fiber weight ~9lbs. That doesn't even include removing the sunroof. What are you missing?

Dont mean to be rude, but c'mon. Unless that carbon roof is super heavy with un-needed resin, its going to weigh less.

must be different on e92 because the weight isnt as drastic..plus i see they didnt install the crossbow going from side to side in the center which is required without sunroof

Where did you get your CF roof for your e92? I have been looking around, but can't find anything. I have been planning on doing a CF roof like Darren, but he got to it first

Where are you getting the non-sunroof headliner?

I'd like to get rid of my sunroof too, but just take out the cassette and weld in a solid piece to make the roof steel, but non sunroof. It'll still save me about 40lbs or so without all the extra work. I may do a wrap on the roof then.

So far, I've cut about 180lbs off my car with all my mods. I'm at 3,270lbs with 3/4 tank of gas.
