active cruise control

I dont have a 1 series yet but i cant find anywhere that states that they have it or can be equipped with it. So no active cruise control right? I hope i am just to ignorant to find it because it sounds really cool.

I would assume that all BMWs would have active cruise control as standard.
The only way to verify is to set your cruise control and when you slowly approach a slower moving vehicle your car should automatically reduce speed to match the slower car's speed when it gets to a pre-defined distance.
But just in case it doesn't, keep your foot ready to hit the brake pedal. Only then will you know.

Erm, not all current BMWs in the US have active cruise control. Active cruise uses radar to judge the distance between your vehicle and the one in front of you and is certainly not standard on all BMWs.

it's only available on the 3, 5, 6, 7 and it's not standard... but an easy way to find out if you have it, is a huge black lense in your front bumper, can't miss it.
