Charge pipe mistake

So apparently I couldn't figure out why I wasn't getting as much boost as I should with the mods I have already. Barely hit 10lbs. Rechecked everything and finally noticed that when I put my new charge pipe on, I never or even noticed that the stock o ring to the throttle was still on the stock pipe. Well needless to say the car now runs crazy!! Crazy fast that is. Hitting 15 n over on map 2 now. Wondering if anyone else had that problem or forgot also...

Measure of the jb4 n barely peeked 9-10. When I should be getting over 15. Did a bunch of runs and data logs to send to terry and figured it was either a boost or vacuum leak. Rechecked everything and as simple as that. Never thought to take the big o ring out on the stock cp. took over 2 weeks to narrow it down. Cus intake blew off the connections and when I put the dp in. The o2 wirings fell off the clips and started to burn. But luckily it wasn't no damage to the wires. Think everyone should should check there cp connections to the throttle body.

Haha I didn't log it yet but my P3 gauge only give me 10.5 psi which is not corrected, still need to tap the wire but being lazy, also I have ETS CP so no need oring. Just feel like I don't make enough power as it should with my butt dyno. Guess need to log to figure out the boost since I am running map 2 now but I can't break loose the tires ;(

P3 gauges will only show you your dme boost. The jb4 actual boost will be much higher.

p3 gauge works great on flash tunes though and will read actual boost readings.

Unplug the gauge before going in they will most likely need the obd2 port if doing any type of service work anyway.

There is a not-so-new feature on the P3 that I use. It taps the MAP sensor (before the piggyback) so it reads real manifold pressure.

From the install document (http://www.p3cars.com/install/bmw/):

Quote:
elect engine type – this will enhance the accuracy of the gauge. A.n55 is for n55 with voltage tap on the OEM sensor connected to analog 2

Just read this. I have a charge pipe with a bung too but no injector in there. I want to use it to read the boost pressure. How is that working out for you?
