Rubber Mat vs Carpet Mats.
Hey guys, which one did you choose when picking up the car? Both are from BMW.
I think the carpets cost more in general, but i'm thinking the Rubbers are more useful. Caprets do looks better though. |

I got neither.
But honestly, I have black carpet floors (Jade Gray), and I barely notice. As much as I clean it, it's not all that big of a deal. I'd still like to pick some up eventually though, but I'd definitely do carpet. Rubber mats don't look right in a BMW unless you have a reason for them.

That and I find carpet can smell bad in the winter, with rain/snow/slush. |

I got both and put them both in my car with the rubber mats on top. Sorta sucks as the clutch catches the rubber mat when I change gears due to the extra height of using two set of mats.

Got both also!
Must admit though the carpet ones suck (or least mine do!). Mine doesn't stay in place!

I have both and switch them out with the seasons. The oem carpet ones arent very durable. kinda cheap.

rubber for winter, for trips, for muddy outdoor days
carpet for summer, for taking ur partner out on opera nights. remember to scotch guard carpet mats, makes it last way longer |

spring & summer - carpet
fall & winter - rubber You have to use the velco circles to keep the mats in place. I don't have them on the passenger side as the mats are so large they never move.

True, that'd be a good reason for using rubber mats. I'd probably just clean them out once a week anyway though, haha, or maybe only put them in where there actually is a storm. I just don't think they look good.

Hmmmm...wheel lock, floor mats, 2 dealer's key chains ( I think probably worth $2 each), $50 gift cert ( which I used to buy one coffee mug and an extra bottle of leather cleaner )and a cleaning kit. Other things I asked that didn't get - rubber mats, caps, fleece blanket and BMW umbrella. |

I had no idea you HAD a choice LoL... I got the rubber ones, altho i think i would prefer the carpets. the rubber ones show every spec of dirt and it drives me fu@king nuts...not to mention a lil difficult to clean.
Think i might have any luck going into the dealership and gettin me some carpet mats? I just bought the car, havent even made my first payment. |

I have the beige interior and it rains a lot in Vancouver, so I have the rubber for the driver's front and carpet in the rest. In the winter I toss in the passenger front mat also.
Keeps things easy to clean up.
