I think Orb can chime in on that since I believe he lives in Toronto.

they sound amazing. do these come in fitment for 328i's? I'd love to have a low dust pad with better performance than OEM.

Even for daily driving, these brakes are so incredible. I accelerated to a familiar 90 degree turn the other day and I braked at around the same place as before. I stopped so much sooner than in the past. It's really amazing with how well these things grab.

well my brakes have been squeaking whenever I drive below 15 mph, this will be a good excuse to change them out.

Installed mine Friday and am pleasantly surprised at how much better these are over the OEM.
I learned that my downshifting rather than braking hard is really paying off too ....... 20K miles on the OEM pads and only half worn. |

for normal DD, consider the cost of putting the load on your tranny vs. your pads...they are made to make you stop, and are REALLY cheap vs tranny issues

Am I the only one who doesn't like Cool Carbon? I tried them and from the moment I first pressed the brake pedal I didn't like them. Just sitting still the pedal travel is a lot further than with OEM pads. They felt squishy, like the pad material was compressible. Yes, I know that doesn't make sense, and I know what you're thinking - I got air into the system. But, when I removed them and put the OEM pads back, the firm pedal feel was also back and the squishiness was gone.

Why would pads be squishy feeling at rest, regardless of breaking in process? And I believe I *did* break them in properly, plus afterwards I spent a weekend at Mosport with them, and they didn't firm up at all.

I think this (downshifting) is more out of habit than anything for me ....... no hard shifting (high revs) just gradual inline with the RPM shift points.

Did you allow the pads to sit at least 24 hrs between bedding? It takes me about 2 bed-in procedures to get the pads to where they are track ready. With new rotors or rotors with pad material (not cool carbon pads), 3-5 bed-in procedures are needed. When I purchased my first set (on 6th set of pads) I failed to bed the pads properly on old rotors, braking was ok but spongy. With the 2nd set, bed-in was done over 3 days and the pads performed superbly.
